It’s a Puppet! Object Puppetry Workshop
Experience the imaginative and
by learning to animate common objects. Learn to express
the elements that make the art form magical: breath, focus,
action and reaction. Tell a story through movement of simple
everyday objects which become fantastic characters you
bring to life. Activities appropriate for all ages.

World of Shadows: Shadow Puppetry Workshop
Learn techniques of storytelling through shadow puppets,
an art form created over 2000 years ago in India and China.
The use of technology and music enhance and expand
this age-old art form. Topics geared to age level.
What’s Your Favorite Story?
Storytelling with Hand/Rod puppets
Create a hand or rod puppet, learn the manipulation
techniques to bring it to life, and write and perform a
story in a small group. Topics appropriate to age levels.
The Art of Signing
American Sign Language is learned through music,
movement, and storytelling. Classes can be a
one-time awareness experience, or a series where
the beginnings of vocabulary, body language and
facial expressions are practiced.

Teacher Training
Teachers learn to use puppets
to teach their lessons, encourage
shy children to express ideas, and
make transitions and rules a fun
part of each day. Participants earn
2 credits toward certication from
NCDCD upon completion of the
